Busk Properties Ltd was established in 2023 with the aim of purchasing, developing and holding properties to rent.
The Co-Directors are Aidan and Avril Magee, a husband and wife partnership team who complement each other both in business and in life.
Aidan and Avril started their property journey in 2016 as sole traders, with the purchase of a 2 bed terraced buy to let property. They have since increased their portfolio to buy
In addition they have purchased property via auctions and flipped a property (3 bed family home) to achieve a significant return on investment.
Since establishing Busk Properties Ltd they have purchased and developed a 6 bed, all en-suite, corporate let.
As Directors of Busk Properties Ltd, Aidan and Avril combine their knowledge and skills from the corporate and public service worlds to provide effective leadership and partnership working with their experienced team of property development professionals. This ensures successful delivery of projects from sourcing deals through to implementing the exit plan
Director
Aidan has a been involved in property since 2016, both as a landlord and doing a flip on a property which was sold for profit, achieving a good return on investment. He is passionate about delivering a high quality service to end customers.
Aidan has also been a co-founder of a successful IT firm delivering successful projects for large corporate bodies as a contractor. This involved learning at pace to be able to be creative in implementing and improving existing systems and processes. Relationships, flexibility and working within budget boundaries were essential to successful delivery of contracts and projects.
Aidan enjoys a challenge and in 2019 was part of a four man crew in the trans-Atlantic ARC race, sailing from Gran Canaria to St Lucia, a total of 3,650 miles in 25 days.
Director
Avril is an NRLA accredited landlord. She oversees the refurbishment of the properties she and Aidan hold in their portfolio, paying attention to deliver in accordance with end customer preferences.
She has held senior management roles in the Probation Service and DWP, where she has used her emotional intelligence skills to manage relationships with suppliers, staff and recipients of services to effectively achieve goals. She has also managed large scale budgets when implementing national programmes.
Avril is keen to experience new activities and in the last ten years has completed 5 half marathons, a trek across the Spanish Pyrenees and Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk across the north of England and 2 x 100km walks in 24 hours each.
